Highlighting Where Progress Takes Flight:
Van Nuys Airport

Contributing to a wide array of community, educational and safety initiatives, Mindy F. Berman Communications prepares collateral materials for Van Nuys Airport (VNY), including ads, newsletters, website text and more. For the Airport Watch newsletter focused on airport safety, VNY Airport Police report improvements in key communications/security metrics covered extensively in the newsletter, including an increase in tenant reports of suspicious persons made through the Airport Watch hotline and a drop in the number of access gates left open and unattended.

Mindy F. Berman Communications wrote the (then-bimonthly) newsletter for members of the National Association of Women Business Owners — Los Angeles Chapter (NAWBO-LA) for three-plus years. The newsletter consistently provided timely and valuable information and resources to the entrepreneurial community and supported the organization's mission of empowering and inspiring women entrepreneurs into economic, social and political spheres of leadership.

Celebrating a Centennial: Pasadena Water and Power
As part of Mindy F. Berman Communications' work on a communications program for the Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) centennial in 2006, Mindy Berman authored a 180-page book titled Celebrate Pasadena's Vision: 100 Years of Community-Owned Power. The book highlights and reinforces the value of a municipal utility to Pasadena residents, businesses, employees and elected officials. Other work included writing a smaller brochure based on the book, preparing a centennial DVD script, developing updated website materials, creating text for a centennial exhibit and more.

Setting the "Green" Standard: Los Angeles Environmental Affairs Department
Helping the City of Los Angeles showcase its successful environmental initiatives during the 1990s, Mindy F. Berman Communications integrated information from nearly all city departments to write a 17-page booklet-form report, titled This is LA: Environmental Achievement 1990-2000, for the Los Angeles Environmental Affairs Department. The department — which in 2000 completed its first decade of work on environmental issues — used the report to effectively communicate its progress to elected officials, environmental organizations and community groups.
